Nina van Dijk was born in Veghel, The Netherlands in 1963. She developed an interest in art making while studying at Teachers Training College and went on to take a course in Fine Arts.
In 1985 she came to New Zealand for a working holiday and decided to stay and pursue a career as a sculptor. Currently residing in Wellington, van Dijk works as a full-time artist from her home studio.
She has exhibited in galleries throughout New Zealand and abroad and her sculptures are in private collections in Australia, UK, USA, Hong Kong and New Zealand.
Parnell Gallery has represented Nina van Dijk since the late 1990s.
