Matt Griffin is a contemporary New Zealand artist living in West Auckland, New Zealand.
Specialising in realism, Matt works in charcoal, graphite and aerosol spray paint.
With a strong focus on expression and viewer engagement, Matt emphasises connectivity by creating captivating portraits in large scale.
Matt is predominantly self-taught and was completing his Bachelor of Structural Engineering when he realised he wanted to turn his full attention to art. Having graduated in 2017, Griffin now pursues a full-time career as an artist.
